The Horseman of the Night
He’s back,
the
horseman of the night,
I hear the
beating of my heart
on the
rhythm of his hasty gallop.
Will he
stop tonight
in my town
or will he wait
until I
fall asleep, so weary
and forget
his name.
Do I hear
in the wind
his silent
laughter,
while he
whispers softly:
oh, child
of men,
there is no
escape.
Don’t
bother,
I’ll find
you,
even in
your dreams.
